Cover story is an old school street doowop group. Established in 2013, the group is a mix of 5 all-star singers and a upright bass who met and came together after years or even decades of working in other NYC doo-wop groups.

Being members of "Music Under New York" (MUNY) makes Cover Story an underground act, literally. The most comon subway stations to find them are Times Square, Herald Square, Union Square, and the Staten Island ferry Terminals.

When the weather is right, Cover Story comes above ground and can be found in Central Park, at the famous Bethesda Fountain Terrace almost daily.

Cover Story sightings have also been reported on Bleeker Street in front of Amy's Bakery/Murray's Cheese Shop as well as the Metropolitan Museum of Art and under the Arch in Washington Square Park.

Cover Story has also performed for dozens of weddings, birthdays and special events and is a popular choice because of there powerful sound and simple logistics. 5 singers, 1 upright bass, no electricty required, dancing guaranteed.*not a money back guarantee

Cover Story performs classic doo-wop and R&B hits with there own unique sound.  All the singer's alternate between lead vocals and background vocals backed up by an upright bass.  Arrangements are developed and evolve as they are performed daily.  Cover Story is one of the last true street doo-wop groups around!

"Coverstory Doowop made our wedding ceremony something truly special. We had them as surprise music guests for our ceremony in Brooklyn Bridge Park, and our guests couldn't stop talking about how their music added so much to the event. I personally love their sound, and on top of that, they are great performers."

"I would also note that coordinating with them was a breeze. They were extremely responsive and professional, and worked with me to put together an amazing set of songs. We couldn't have been happier!"
                     - Dani and Jonatan, May 2015
"As Brad and I celebrate our first Thanksgiving together as husband and wife, we can't help but reminisce about the wonderful job you and your team did at our wedding at the Waveny House on August 20, 2016.
You were literally the life of our party; our guests are still talking about your performance. From the moment we saw you performing on a corner in the West Village, we knew you'd be a huge hit.
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!"

                                     -All the best, Sophia
"If you are looking for real singing hire this group. They have beautiful voices. The venue I had my parents anniversary party at were sticklers and wanted the group to get insurance which I would have had to pay for. This group got me out of the insurance and saved me about $200 bucks. Very down to earth gentlemen. Not to mention, they will put on a killer show. Hire this group!"
